What is Trippie?

Trippie is a delivery platform that connects individuals with Tripsters available on demand.

Where is Trippie available?

Trippie is currently available in New Zealand with plausible future expansions into other nations.

How do I user Trippie?

Simply download and install our app, “Trippie” from Google Playstore or App Store, register as a User and you’re good to go. You can post Trippie, with pictures and descriptions, with the delivery and pick up address, you will be provided with an estimate of your Trippie after which you can put in your price and post it. Once a Tripster offers to deliver your Trippie, you can accept or decline the offer and then once selected the Tripster, have the Trippie delivered.

How does Trippie keep my personal information safe?

A User will not be able to successfully register if he/she does not agree to protect your confidential and personal information as part of the T&Cs of the app. The Tripster does come across your personal information and/or the recipient’s, but they have all agreed to keep this information safe. If any User fails to comply with these regulations, they may have their account suspended or cancelled.

What should I do if I don’t want to be part of Trippie?

We’d be very disheartened to see you go, but nevertheless, you can contact us to have your account discontinued.

How do I know my contents are safe?

Though we do have an “Owner’s risk” policy, be rest assured that we operate on the trust of the community involved, the Tripsters also have to follow a strict protocol, as per Trippie community ratings and they also go through a screening before they’re allowed to operate as Tripsters. 

How do I send something?

A very easy process; just post up your Trippie, with the Pickup and Delivery address, with pictures. Once posted wait for Offers from Tripsters, accept and have it delivered.

How can I track my delivery?

The Tripster will update the statuses of your Trippie at various stages of the delivery and a chat & call option is also available. Unfortunately, we do not track Tripsters in real time as per our T&Cs.

Can I talk to my Tripster directly?

Yes, you can. There is a chat and call platform provided on the app.

What if no one offers to deliver my Trippie?

This would not happen often but in case it does, you can always relist your Trippie with just a click away.

Is there anything that I cannot send through Trippie?

Our Tripsters can certainly not deliver everything, which includes people and selected animals and goods. Please familiarise yourself with the prohibition list on our T&Cs.

How much does Trippie cost?

Signing up with us is totally free. As for transporting, depending on your Delivery Address, you will be provided with an estimate price before posting the Trippie. Factors like the type of Trippie including the size and quantity adds up to the cost. Whatever, you’re shown as the estimate and then the price you choose for your Trippie is what you’re charged. There is no hidden, last minute costs.

Can I cancel a Trippie after posting it?

Yes, both the Tripster and the Customer can cancel a Trippie, check out the cancellations section in our T&Cs for more information.  

Why does a Pet or Livestock delivery always need a signature on delivery?

This is to make sure that the pet or livestock has been safely handed over to a responsible person and not left at someone’s property without any supervision. Let’s say we’re protecting all parties involved including our furry friends.

Tripster FAQ

How can I sign up as a Tripster?

Once you register as a User, head on to your profile and complete the Tripster Registration, upload documents as requested and after a short screening process, we will be ready to welcome you on as a Tripster.

What documents do I need when signing up?

To be able to operate as a verified Tripster, you will need to provide us with a few documents, your Driving License, Your Visas (in case you’re on visas here) and insurance documents for the vehicle. Please upload a friendly photo of yourself on the profile too. Not much, let’s get you on board.

What type of insurance do I need for my vehicle?

You will either need a Third-Party insurance or a Comprehensive Insurance. You will unfortunately not be able to register as a Tripster without a vehicle insurance.

Do I need different licenses to be able to deliver different contents?

As of now Trippie does not have any different classes for Tripsters but you do need the correct Class on your Driving License as per New Zealand law, allowing you to drive the Vehicle you have registered with Trippie.

Can I offer to deliver multiple Trippies at the same time?

If the Trippies fall in the same route and you can safely deliver them, you can opt in to deliver multiple Trippies.

Can I cancel to deliver after offering for a Trippie?

We know you would love to complete the Trippie but sometimes life throws surprises at us. In this case, yes, both the Tripster and the Customer can cancel a Trippie, please don’t forget to give enough notice. Kindly check out the cancellation section in our T&Cs for more information.  

What if a Customer cancels the Trippie while I am on my way?

You will be notified of the cancellation as soon as it takes place, you will be reimbursed, please familiarise yourself with the cancellations section in our T&Cs to be sure about the details.

Why do I need to upload pictures of the Trippie while pick up and on Delivery?

As a Tripster, you will need to upload pictures of the Trippie at pick up and delivery so that the condition of the Trippie is captured at both instances. It also shows that you have delivered at the right address. It just leaves evidence that you have safely completed the Trippie.
